NeLi Martin has been curious about the mind for more than 30 years. She first registered as a Psychologist in Queensland in 1991 and has worked in child protection, juvenile justice, domestic violence and organisational settings in Australia and UK; she is currently in private practice in Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Her home in Psychology is Contextual Behavioural Science. This Functional Contextual approach integrates with her many years of study, practice and teaching of Yoga and Buddhist Dharma Mindfulness. She is very interested in how the science of mindfulness can be applied in the Western world and continues to look for ways to integrate it into her life. She is also delighted to invite others into this dance of awareness.
She has been practicing yoga since 1992 and teaching Since 1998. She is a senior teacher with Yoga Australia.
NeLi has also been practicing Buddhist Dharma mindfulness meditation Since 2000 and teaching since 2005. She is a member of the Insight Network Teachers Group of Australia. She leads meditation and yoga retreats and silent walks; Yatra’s through the Noosa National Park.
NeLi is also a founding facilitator of Conscious Dance Noosa offering her Dharma Dance into this beautiful dance community.
NeLi discovered and fell in love with TreeSisters in 2017. She gathers with sisters in circle locally in Noosa; in ever widening webs of community.
